Headlight restoration?

Yeah it's ridiculous, especially as they didn't really change the design for 3 generations of the car.

As a result the 2nd hand market is pretty cut-throat. Especially for those who have accident damage on one side and only need one. Typically would pay £400-600 for a pair with ballasts and harness depending on age and condition, but they don't stay on the market for long.

Also need to be careful of US variants which have entered the market.

Holy cow, Gayjin, thats a great result, my headlights on the Supra are turning yellow, and i just so happen to have 500 sand paper in my shed.

A word of caution. I used the headlights I swapped these with as a test bed many months ago using the "manual method" and it didn't work well.

It is far easier to achieve a uniform sanding depth using a drill or rotary.

Of course it is totally possible (read: likely) I was just rubbish at doing it manually, but like I said - I'd advise caution.

I still have my 3m 'kit' in my boot I think. If anyone wants the sanding velcro disc thing they are welcome to it - You'd have to cut your own sandpaper discs though and i'd imagine the 3000 trizac one is tired now!

I wouldn't suggest using manual sanding methods after personally using the 3m kit. It was so easy to achieve a uniform result.

It was so good I even refurbed the screen on my brothers mp3 player with it :p

For the sake of £20 and a few rolls of tape, just buy the kit.
