Headlight woes

You know the scenaro, you get a new car then something happens to it!
Well some lovely chav thought it would be funny to carve a big X into my headlight when i was parked the t'other day. Anyone know if you can get new lenses or do you have to get a whole new light?

Its a golf mk5 btw. :(
 
Grrrrr I hate it when they do this. My brother bought a brand new car in black and within 2 days it was covered in key marks from some evil kids. Sorry went slightly off topic there. Can you not get some form of scratch remover for glass rather than having to buy a new headlight?
 
well i've been looking on the net for things, the best I've seen is that 3m headlight scratch remover kit, whether it works as well as it looks though!

its quite a deep scratch, I was just wondering if any other guys on here had any experience with things like this and could offer a cheaper solution :p
 
Scratch remover will only work on light scratching.
Cheapest solution: Live with it.
Next cheapest solution: Get a s/h headlamp from a breakers.
Expensive solution: Get a new headlamp from GSF or Eurocarparts.
Very, very expensive solution: Get new headlamp from dealers.
