Headphone upgrade

Currently got a set of Speedlink Medusas but they don't seem to be shielded and anyone in the house with a mobile interferes with them.

Now, I've come to the realisation I use my headphones for music a lot more than my Z5500's so I have around £60-70 to spend on some top quality headphones.

What sort of headphones are the best in this price bracket,

Nah, dont really have time. I use my CX300 with my ipod when getting to work, train etc and amp/speakers at home. Ive only used the NS1000s for about 2 hours too. Shame really

Tom - If you want them you can have them for £50. I paid that for them but they are in top condition and also include a decent quality 5 metre extension lead
 
What I mean is how are these available for 50 quid new when the DR150's are more expensive yet the NS1000 is a better model?
 
Looks like a set price to me, any how I've chosen the DR150's after a bit of a look about for £55

Now to sell these Speedlink Medusas..
 
DR150s would be the better choice IMO - the NS1000 are debatable as to if they are better - the 150s just work no fuss, great sound quality.
 
Got my DR150's today, they are fantastic after jigging about a bit with the Creative EQ etc I have a really crisp sounding set.

Pleased with these. They of course still have to burn in yet!

What i have is Speedlink Medusas same as you i have had 2 sets in over 10 years

And i am now buying Grado Sr.80 price £59.99 done lot of reasearch and all have said they are outstanding sound (but anyone in the house can hear you) they should be with me this week :) will post back,as for mic still looking

AKG 141s can be found for that price. Will be a lot better than the supermarket brands you find anywhere but audio specific sites.
 
full size headphones? for that price, sennheiser 555

this is coming from someone with 15 years in audio engineering - you won't be disappointed

for home listening/gaming, they're awesome for the price.

if you're looking for iPod earphones - look into in-ears instead. Klipsch S4's are very good in that price range

He already bought the DR150s and I've not heard them but they are supposed to be better than the HD555 (which I've owned, I know they are good as well :) )
