My AKG K712PRO that I've had since 2011 have died.
MY knowledge of headphones is zero but I heard that the
Beyerdynamic MMX 330 Pro is quite popular on here.

My budget is about £250 and my pc is used for gaming. I also have the headphones plugged into my Creative Sound Blaster X4 external dac.

I used to have some very expensive Beyer Dynamic in a recording studio and somebody put these in my hands to try and it's the ones I use now:

Steel series arctis Nova?

Me i use my Sony WH-1000XM4 for everything
Even though the main purpose for them
Was the active noise cancelling
They sound great to me
Especially once plugged in rather than wireless
But hey I am no audiophile

Very cheap, you happy with them.

Hifiman Sundara may be a good option at that price.

Can be had for £199 at the moment and is a great option for the price tbh, just make sure you get the right version as there's a cheaper "closed back" option that people find very marmite.

What are you going to be plugging them into exactly OP? I'm assuming you've a decent headphone amp somewhere in the chain given what you're coming from.

Edit: Just re-read and saw it's an X4, you should be alright still. You'd need a separate microphone but at a guess you already have one anyway.
