Headphones for gaming, upgrading from Plantronics Audio90

I've had these for years, they served me well (i know they're far from the best)

Have a problem now where the right ear sounds kinda fuzzy (they've taken a kicking over the years)

What shall i replace them with? at the moment using onboard realtek hd audio -i don't trust any other card in Vista 64

What else could i go for? don't really care if it's got a mic, might be useful in the future.

(what are wireless headphones like..?)

what if i put my xfi music in the pc, can you please be helpful and not turn this into a typical 'badbob vs the world' thread

if wireless headphones are crap, fair enough

this is a gaming pc only, the 555's ok for positional audio? will 100% not be listening to music on them

they look big, but sleek, so that's ok
