Headphones under £40

...I could stretch the price abit if I can justify it

Need a new pair of headphones to tide me over, currently looking at the Superlux HD-668 B, seen a few videos of them and they look pretty damn decent for the price, anything else I should look at before I buy 'em?

Just them and the Panasonic RP-HTF600E-S, unless you want to spend £50.00.

HTF600 as mentioned. Worth reviewing the two of them - I'd personally have the HT600s, but I'm not too familiar with the Superluxs. Not much else worth considering at this budget.

Yeah, pretty convinced for the price! Might get the Superlux HD-330's, heard they are just updated versions of the 668B's and sound even better.

At the price I have seen them it has to be worth a punt.

Think the 330's are the open backed version of the 660's. I haven't used the 668b's but can vouch for the HD681's as being very good value, especially for £29.

First of all you haven't said whether you want closed, open or semi closed/open headphones? This makes a big difference to their use. e.g. you cannot use open headphones in public without looking like a ****, etc.

Therefore consider what you will be using them for and what you want, etc.

Also on ear, over ear, IEM's? etc.

Samson SR850 are also supposed to be good at this price range they are around £29 last time I checked.

If you are going near the £50 bracket I would personally go second hand and buy HD 595's or 558's off ebay. Easily available for under <£70 on auction.
