To put simply the lowest price we sold memory for in the last price crash was £79.99 for a 32GB 2400MHz kit and now this kit cost us less in USD (United State Dollars) compared to what we paid for those kits a year ago, of course the pound is quite a bit weaker than then, hence the price is still a touch more, but at least this is a 3000MHz kit and currently amongst the cheapest in the UK, so what a bargain it is. :)

New consoles are hoovering up DDR and fabrication time and factories like there’s no tomorrow. Even if the pound recovers prices will rise in the short and medium term. I wouldn’t expect pricing like that for several years.

Before the last time RAM prices went up the 32GB 2400mhz kit of this was £89.99 so things always come back round, question is how long. I will just keep my eyes out for a deal as I would buy two kits so it's a big differnce cost wise, if not I'll just stick with what I have RAM wise if I move to Ryzen.

This was to use Unraid and split the machine up as a gaming PC and VMs then I can dump my old S30 and ESXi, I want to reduce my PC footprint as I might have to give up my gaming room for a bedroom in the coming year, one less PC is a huge bonus. Ryzen 3900X is looking pretty good and I have a new case coming... The *** snowblind - with LCD window :)

Currently:
Gaming - 6700k 16GB 4000mhz RAM
ESXi - S30 Lenovo E5-2670v2 128GB RAM

yes a good price at the moment. memory prices this year are meant to increase by about 30% or more. {pre-conorna virus forecast - what the virus will do to the prices who knows).
