Headset recomendation

I like the simplicity and easy of having USB headphones since you dont need a soundcard etc and its just plug and play with no configuration.

I guess in the future you could buy a PC with crap onboard sound and just get a decent pair of USB headphones if they were up to scratch I guess :/ Long as you didnt want any inputs and other outputs etc lol

All we need now is like you suggested, for one of these manufacturers to make a decent headset!

Current best USB solution would probalby be a Xonar U1 with a set of headphones. The U1 is a USB soundcard that comes with a noise cancelling desktop mic. Recent driver updates mean it can do (emulated) EAX5 in some games. That makes it the only USB EAX5 solution - and it's got Dolby Headphone.

Well my gamecom 367s arrived, and I have to say for £20 they are great. mic quality is good, sound quality is good (again though, its not amazing, but for £20 it doesnt have to be). After having not used a headset for years, it takes a little while to get used to having a little extra weight on your head.

The only problem I have with them is that the mic mute seems to not work, in either position the mic works fine.

Well here I am reviving an old thread... Was searching for anything mentioning Beyerdynamic's MMX 300 and came across this lol

Custom Manufaktur'd MMX 300s are currently being made for me so I guess I'll find out just how good they are soon lol
