Hi guys, month or so back I bought some Roccat Kave's but sent them back due to interference from mouse movements.
So yesterday my Razer Cacherias turn up and I get similar noises (not quite so bad tbh) so after some digging around the net, it appears to be some issue with the motherboard....z68xp-ud3....I read one place that said it was due to poor earthing of one component or other.
I get this problem with either my onboard sound, or my Muse 5.1 sound card. I have been thinking about a new sound card for a while anyway but would this still be an issue? Would hate to spend £100+ and have a whine sound.
I have tried (both headsets) without the usb connected, as I believe it only powers the inline volume controller but it makes no difference. Would a usb soundcard eliminate it possibly, or has anyone any other advice?
Cheers
