Headunit 'memory'

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I took my headunit out last night to see if I could swap over the red and yellow cables, however there isn't a yellow cable, I can only see one red one????

I'll see if I can get a photo uploaded later.
 
Do you have a multimeter? If so, measure for voltage on one of the wires when the ignition is off, and measure for voltage on another wire when the ignition is on. And swap them over.

Looking at it it's probably the red and brown wires in the black block (on the right). I'd test them first though.

I had to use an adapter for my Sony HU in my Ibiza, it had red and yellow bullet clips that I simply switched around.

Unfortunately I don't have the removal clips anymore otherwise I'd of taken it out and had a look what colour the yellow and red wires were connected to.

Thinking about it my cables had a blue end instead of brown as well?
