Still pretty decent case even today. I wouldn't be suggesting to throw away that case just yet. The issue is the heatsink direction, which is the fault of the heatsink mounting mechanism, not the case.

I have this mount for an AXP-140 and had a look if there is a way to rotate it 90° - I think it's achievable by using the X shaped s775 backplate from the original cooler mounting in place on the crossbar to attach to the frame - because the Intel mounts are square you can rotate it around the frame. The heat pipes on the axp-140 do interfere on the part of the frame where the crossbar normally attaches meaning the heatsink would sit 2mm or so higher on the stock screwnuts -but if you can get 8mm screwnuts or just use a longer M3 screw and standoffs to mount the frame 2mm lower this should work.
