Hey guys,

New gpu coming on Monday / Tuesday, I’m changing my 4tb nvme to my game drive and I have in hand a 500gb nvme just for Windows.

The 500gb nvme will go in the slot immediately below the cpu which the motherboard has a heatsink for..I was going to put the 4tb drive naked on the next available slot second for nvme, but now I have a heatsink enclosure free, will putting it on the 4tb drive really make a difference, either prolonging life etc…

Can’t remember drive name, it was a highly rated one from another seller than OCUK. It will only be used for gaming, and the read / writes aren’t crazy high anyway..

I have done the nvme transplant and left off the heatsink for now.

Just measured the temps of my Fanxiang 1TB USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 external SSD drive...

Ran Crystal Disk Mark with HWMonitor running to measure the temps. Max temp 47C
