Heatwave affecting your overclock temperatures?

You can buy a waterchiller that will keep you just above the dew point.
But it would be very expensive and pretty pointless.
If your going to insulate then you might as well go phase change.

No change in temps for me as far as I can tell (no crashes)

But my ocuk AIO does seem very noisy today.
May just be a coincidence.
Really should finish my custom case and watercooling but it's far too hot to do any work tonight.

You could always build your PC in to a freezer :D

But yea, since taking my WC loop out and going back to air the ambient temperature has a much bigger impact. On water it stayed pretty constant within a few degrees all the time. Now even with a good, dual 140mm fan air cooler my 6700k is hitting over 70 on max load at 4.4ghz.

My pc is handling it ok, its me thats overheating, ive got a spare PSU, a fan controller and half a dozen fans pointing at my face tonight, its my old trick i do every summer to keep me cool at the PC :)

Small deskfan with bag of ice in front of it. Then a larger fan in front of it blowing cooled air at me.

Sadly the PC doesn't get the same ViP treatment. The water is at 33°C idle and 42°C under load so about 8°C higher than normal.

I can game until about midday, which is when the sun reaches the south facing rear of the house. After that the room the PC is in becomes an oven :D

I'm guessing everyone apart from those with very good water cooling setups will be sacking off gaming today? I think I'm just going to wade around in my local river looking for some water Pokemon.

Temps have crept up 5c since we've started getting the hotter weather,

Highest chip has spiked is 62c full load running is 45c and graphics card has hit 42c after 6 hours of Witcher 3 when it usually is closer to 38c.

PC is fine it's more the ambient temp in my room that is the killer atm.

It's not that bad here. That's the advantage of having a pair of good 360mm rads mounted in a box on the windowsill. Had to turn my rad fans up full though. Water temp has increased from 22.2 degrees C to 26.8 degrees C while gaming but cpu and gpu temps are only up 2-3 degrees. Motherboard and gpu vrm's are up a similar amount so not much difference really.

My pc is in the bedroom, as it stays on most nights so I can watch films etc from it I like it to be quiet if I can help it so strictly stock speeds at the moment to keep those fans from creeping up during the night! :(

mine crashed today........then started up ok 10 mins later, i increased the fan speeds and reduced the OC to 4.2 from 4.6...........if it does it again i'll reduce it to 4.0

right now it's running 33.....28.......34..........33, but its max says 55 to 60, but maybe that's from before i reduced the OC, right now it's running 68 degrees whilst rendering in Daz 3D

but the PC is making a hell of a noise, so next time i'm switching to Watercooled

my computer was on all night rendering videos, but when I went in at 5am this morning it was nice and cool.....until the sun hit the window then the room got really quite warm.

Still hasn't affected it much, maybe 3 degrees on CPU and GFX cards but I haven't had to adjust any fan settings or overclocks.

My temperatures have increased in proportion to the increase in ambient temperature - though this is a rather obvious implication of higher ambient temperatures.

When it's hot my room ambient goes up about 12c because it's a loft space so the sun hits it direct pretty much all day as it moves around.

Idle temps have indeed gone up by said 12c, but only because I run a really low pump and fan profile at idle to keep it silent, load temps have only gone up 2c both CPU and GPU.

Well last night's temps certainly tested out my watercooling.

After a couple of hours playing Witcher 3 GPU hit 55c,& CPU peaked at 70c.
Overall water temp was 42c.

it's too hot to game anyway, it's on 34.....29.....35.....38 right now, but much higher if i Render and higher still if i put the pc side back on.

it's running Megahalems with one fan on it.....the rest are Corsair and twin phanteks in the front, so i suppose it's not too bad............BUT IT'S LOUD :D
