I decided to test the new AMD Optimised Tesselation settings in CCC 11.2.

I tried with 'AMD Optimised' and 'Application Settings'

I ran the bench at default settings, 1680x1050 full screen (so 4xAF, no AA, normal tess etc).

Interestingly it made precious little difference, I guess it would on extreme tesselation levels.

With Application Setting I scored 1008

With AMD Optimised I scored 1011

Also I note it seems there is some precaching going on now and my first run scored almost as highly as the second runs above (1002 vs 1008 for example).

I would post some screenies but my internet is largely chagged at the moment (BE)

Yeah the AMD driver will probably need and application profile for the new heaven bench otherwise the drivers will not detect it.

I've added some more results, I even ran a bench at your resolution Raven and noticed the increase is not as great as over the other 480 in this thread.

What is your 480 clocked at?

850 core, I take it your 580 is clocked.

my 460's kinda lagging

benchmark ran as it comes outta the box.

it's the biggest card i can fit into my machine due to asus not being able to design a decent motherboard

so until i get a new mobo thats about as good as it gets unless i get one of the short 560's.
