Heavily Tuned AMD R5 5600X vs. i5-10600K: Memory & CPU Overclocking Showdown

Damm wonder how much u can get from 5900x with such tuned mem.
Guess I made mistake that I got the normal trident z while I could have snapped neo they were basically same price

Hmm? GN was using the "normal" TridentZ RGB not the Neo stuff? In all the super-tuned benchmark results they list the RAM at the top and it wasn't the Neo stuff.

In a previous vid they showed the Neo 3600 CL16 being slightly behind the "normal" Trident Z RGB 3200 CL14.

Also you have to watch out, because some of the Neo kits are not using B-die and have worse timings (like 16-19-19-38 on at least one variant of the Neo 3600).

AMD domination.

Does say in the vid that the Neo was slightly better at tuning than the review kit I think.

Meh I just bit the bullet on 32GB 3200 C14 TridentZ RGB (original not Neo) for ~£200. I think that's a pretty decent price for B-die.

Will wait for Black Friday for the rest of the stuff :p

I love and hate this at the same time, i hate how its 45% faster than a stock 3600, but love how its 13% faster than a super tuned 10600K and 12% faster than a 5.2Ghz 10900K.
13% faster than the i5 for +25% of the price yet the i5 was 27% faster than the 3600 for a similar price increase and there wasn't this mad clamour to buy that CPU when it released so I think people have their blinkers on.

5600X prices are inflated at the moment but you're right i do think the 5600X MSRP is a little too high. I can't argue with that, so if you want a budget gaming chip the 10600K is right for you.

Its price doesn't take away from its performance, its not the best gaming chip you can get, but its better than anything Intel have.

I already have a 3600 so I'd like to get an 8 core but will wait for AMD to hopefully release the 5700X with sensible prices otherwise I'll probably skip this gen altogether.

On a budget buy intel

Simply want the best and fastest gaming cpu ever made get AMD

Rocket lake may deliver both.
