Heavy CPU cooler

Are there any risks of using a heavier cpu cooler? My friend purchased the thermalright 120 extreme, which i think is 800g without the fan, and thats pretty heavy.

I want to get a bigger zalman one but they weigh around 900g. I dont exactly move my system around much, except off the desk and onto the floor.

Am I just being paranoid?

I wouldnt worry about it tbh, ive used my TRUE black without issue (dual fans) the all copper version now is a different matter, it weighs about 2kg without a fan, btw id suggest the TRUE as its a signifigantly better cooler than the zalmans.

If it's stationary it will be fine. Best to remove it while transporting it though.

Motherboards these days are made to withstand even the heaviest of CPU coolers out there, otherwise you cudnt put 1 on. so your fine

if i transport my pc its always on its back (cpu cooler upwards)
to minimise chance of mobo damage

I remember my old Scyth Mugen 1kg with pushpin and I forgot 1 screw top left on the mobo... that was scary
