Heavy Rain images

Eh? 13 posts in and no negative comments?

..looks well good.

It's diving straight into uncanny alley. So there's your negative comment, but I did try to make it a sensible one.

Looks like somebody jacked off all over her.

What NokkonWud said. But if that is done using the game engine rather than just being pre-rendered then I can't really complain.

And whilst Fahrenheit did go a bit daft towards the end, I still thoroughly enjoyed the game as a whole. Looking forward to this.

Farenheit did get silly towards the end which wasn't helped by the huge two week gap in the game with absolutely no attempt at a synopsis of events during that time. Budget / time constraints I believe.

These stills look good but that video was somewhat iffy.

Haha "30% of it's power" wow so since Motorstorm they've only started using another 10%?

I really do hate all this crap about the % of power they are using, it's retarded.

Edit: Heavy Rain should be awesome, judging from Fahrenheit.

Do you hate it because you don't believe it is using so little of the systems potential? If so then i disagree, consider the PS2 and the evolution of the graphics it produced starting with its earliest titles like Tekken Tag and Kessen then ending with God of War 2, such a huge difference over the years and i don't see why it can't happen here.

Or, do you mean it's stupid to try and 'measure' the amount of power you are utilizing in a system? If so i agree, you can't quantify how much your uber graphics are using a system as it's impossible to quantify how good a game looks. To say 'oh yeah, well it'll look 70% better next time' is just plain silly.

The latter, I'm sure the consoles will improve but I don't think it will be by a huge level!

Ok cool, i assumed it would be the latter tbh, just thought i would voice both of my thoughts to save effort :)

I shared the same opinion as you in terms of the evolution of consoles, until recently when i found a cache of launch and early PS2 titles in my loft which i promptly fired up to see if my rose tinted spectacles were accurate. They weren't. Examples of which would be the aforementioned Tekken Tag and Kessen along with other titles such as Timesplitters, Zone of the Enders and SSX which look very dated, even when compared to latter PS2 titles.

Hahaha!

This looks good! Why isn't these kind of games out now for the PS3, and why the hell isn't the PS3 being used to it's full potential now? For Sonys sake it needs to be. Such a bloody waste. What the **** are Sony doing? I'm no hater of Sony, i'm actually looking for reasons to own one as i'd like it for its bluray playing abilities. Having great exclusive games for it would make me jump on that breadbin looking thing instantly.

Got to wonmder why they didnt just make a console that was easy to 'get the power out of' .

Sure the ps3 might end up with some good looking games once they have learnt it backwards but by that point MS will just release a simple to prgoram for more powerful console.
