ah man, power cut just as i put little man to bed, wifes out and was just pouring myself a glass of wine and bang power cut, 35mins now :( lucky i have 70% on laptop and a mobile dongle i nabbed from work :)

that was the longest 45mins ever lol, just installed here we go :)

Right! Few hours into this now and I would already say its the best game of 2010 for me so far. The graphics are superb, the 5.1 audio is the most atmospheric I've ever heard in a game and the story and characters have real emotion about them. I cannot wait to carry on playing this over and over again.
 
I got this today a day early. Best PS3 game ever. I've only played for a few hours but I am adamant about that.

I didn't bother with the patch because no one seems to know what it does and it has apparently caused some problems for people.
 
Not noticed any tearing (I kept my eyes pealed after all the comments on here) only had one issue so far, a high pitch noise coming from the game which wouldnt go away. Nothing a quick exit and load didnt solve.

Brilliant game, five hours in and I don't want to stop... :D

I managed to stop to go do something important. I am doing at least 5 playthroughs of this game.

And then all the playthroughs where x amount of characters die and some people die differently or I play a scene differently.

The possibilities, they're endless.

I am quite excited at how many possible outcomes there are and exactly how game changing your actions are.

Hopefully its quite dramatic changes and doesn't dissappoint.
 
Just finished my first run through, once I started it I couldn't put it down til I had finished it. Took me just under 10 hours and what an awesome story!

I definitely need to go back and play through again for a better ending as I screwed it up and some of the choices you had to make were very tough! :eek:
 
Got my copy from HMV today, bit miffed at such a large download to start with, but I forgot all about that whilst making the origami thing :D

Decided that I would play the add-on mission I got as part of the limited edition, I thought it might flesh-out the character a bit, and well…… oh my god :eek: Not felt fear/terror in a game for some time, but this really got my pulse racing, it felt like I was actually there, and the QTE stuff actually worked really well in immersing me!

Just up to the second Scott Shelby chapter now, and it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster with emotions, trying not to spoil anything now, but I really felt sorry for the dad in this story; seeing his family life before and after has given me quite a connection to the character and I actually found myself feeling quite sad in the scene before the chapter I’m now on.

Anyway, enough gushing like a school girl :D

I bet this game is going to get quite a slating from certain corners, and those wont just be the 360 fans, I can see some PS3 fans not liking this being labelled as ’the best PS3 app’; if indeed it is being called that? I expect it will be fashionable to hate it.

Hoping I’ve just scratched the surface of the game, and that I’m not a silly percent through now!

whats the word on this patch then, ive just got in and have the game but people are saying the patch mucks the game up ?

is it safe to install patch ?

I love how each of the characters are so unique, with the music and mood. really throwing your emotions all over the place. great game so far, loving all the QTE action sequences, and the weird movement isn't so weird after a while. :)


sigh: back to menu again, fell through the floor. this game does a good job of ruining the mood

You will like it if you like adventure games and Quick Time Events. I have not played the game and never will because I absolutely hate QTE's which in my mind is the laziest substitute for actual skill based game play. Pity though because the rest of the game looks excellent.

You're the one missing out though, so why not rent it at least :confused:

this doesn't feel like a skill game. it's plays like a very nice story

Too be honest one of the reasons I do not like QTE's is that I am not very good at them. Maybe I pick the game up later when discounted or buy a used copy. The story does look rather good.
