I'm getting a couple of hedgehogs in the garden any recommendation for hedgehog huts? Ones that are raised a bit so not directly on wet soil

Most of the ones I have seen to buy are really poor designs!

Buy, they're only a few quid.
yeah noticed many are pretty open so I guess foxes or cats could get into them.

Yes thats exactly the issue
If your buying then best bet is to try to add a tunnel to it, the best ones have a tunnel anyway.
Tunnel also helps in that its easier to elevate the box and to have the tunnel touch the ground, although hedgehogs are surprisingly capable climbers

Hmm that looks like plywood, dunno how long that will last before rotting through tbh.
If you want to DIY probably best to get some pallets strip it to lengths and use that as a base material, doesn't actually need to be sealed watertight, also the blocks from the corners of the pallet can be used as stands to raise it off the ground.
