Works the same for other poisons too; for example outdoor surface spider treatments kill any other insects too

They'll kill anything, the only difference is the dose you don't need much to kill insects but get enough of it inside you and it'll affect you too its one of the reasons most organophosphorus insecticides have been banned and they accumulate in the body over time, its almost impossible to buy anything but "safe" products to kill aphids these days which are mostly soaps, oils and natural products like pyrethrin
Products like this are illegal to sell in the EU and here too as we basically inherited their laws

I always enter Tesco through the exit door because the enter one has to many people going in it.

What's more odd is where they draw the line on killing vs repelling, cats, dog, and bats get the repealing treatment while things like boars, foxes, weasels, racoons, and birds all need to die.
A bit like how we care about dogs and cats but get angry over some people in china and nigeria killing them for food.
Yeah, the exit door because the enter one.
