Hi guys i need some help please.
On first boot of my new system im getting a red flashing dram led that goes solid after 10 secs and then fails to boot
Any help would be great.
Asus p8z77v mb
8 gig kingston hyper x 1600mhz ram
3570k cpu
750 watt psu
Ive flashed the bios and im now out of ideas.

Have you tested with each module in DDR Slot 1?

Have you enabled XMP in the bios. Check your manual for instructions on how to do this. Failing that, try with just 1 stick installed, if still not working try the other stick.

I cant get to bios screen to set xmp.
It passes cpu test light goes out
Them onto dram test where it stays solid red
And then it reboots.

Have you removed the RAM & tested 1 module at a time in DDR Slot 1?

Have you tried pressing the MemOK button near the ram slots?

Yeh tried the button tried both dimms in all slots on there own everthing i can think of.
The mem is kingston hyper x khx1600c9d3k2/he i hope ite the right ram for asus p8z77v mb?

have you got another board you can check the memory in if they work i would say it is the board if they dont i would say it it the memory

No its my only desk top pc suppose il have 2 take to a shop for repair.

Just hope you haven't bent any cpu pins when you installed it.
