Heh heh Logitech have asked me to 'destroy' my mouse

Take a flame thrower to it!

Or alternativly set fire to a can of butane whilst the mouse is in the vicinity..making sure you run like hell! dead mouse, cool explosion, and the exhilaration of the whole thing :D

Where you go to fill in a rma - can't see it on the Logitech site. I must have had my G5 less than 3 years + scroll wheel locks up all the time, when i scroll down 1 it scrolls down twice :)

Do you need to take the warranty up with who you brought it with or do all logitech products have warranty directly with logitech.

According to support guy: < 1 year: the retailer, up to whatever the warranty is: Logitech.

Give them a call on their tech support line.

Ive got to say Im a Logitech fanboy - all my peripherals are Logitech except for my headset. Only manu I consider (and recommend) now for such devices!!!

Hmm I may make a new sig :p

seems like such a waste of materials tbh.
Probably better than the carbon footprint to ship/fly it to somewhere in mainland europe :p

When your taking up the RMA with Logitech directly they ask you for the details of the company you bought the mouse from as well as a reason why you didn't deal with them. They also ask for a scanned proof of purchase (receipt).

They are sending me another G5 thats what I meant, so I'm hoping for the new colour, my G5 is the rust coloured one lol

They only make the blue ones now. I'm guessing you have the old model that only had one button on the side? I think their G5 design at the moment is a cracked blue texture with a black top going by the gallery on the official website.

Same here, I'll probably only ever buy Logitech mice and keyboards (as long as they stay on top), tempted by Logitech speakers as well. Although if I know for sure another product is better I'd go for that. I don't stick with a company for the sake of it, I buy quality & what's best at the time ;)

Totally agree - Logitech is just normally the first port of call and the baseline I expect for quality and service.

Really chuffed with Logitech. After telling me it could be up to 14 days before I receive a replacement I've just received a dispatch email telling me my new MX Revolution is on its way :D

Its a mouse! Its hardly going to cause a global rise in the price of moulded plastic and PCBs if you destroy one!

Especially if you put it in the small appliances/electronics skip at your local tip. Think of the planet people!!

PK!

I recently got a warranty replacement for my Logitech MX3100 wireless set, because the middle button would intermittently stop working. They offered me the MX3200 set as a full replacement, which I was happy enough with, but I asked them if I could pay a bit extra to them to get the newer MX5500 set because I'd wanted it anyway. They sent me it for free instead!

Very impressive service, I've got loads of Logitech stuff and have had plenty in the past too, so it's good to know they've got that sort of support.

My MX1000 mouse has a broken right button, and the charge cradle often doesn't work, but it's over 3 1/2 years old. Can I still get a free replacement from them? :)

The S/N is still on the bottom but I don't have the original packaging or receipt though, maybe that will be a problem...
