Thought he didn't quite looked as good as the previous movies but this does look interesting indeed. Got a horror vibe.

More horror than Hellboy, but I'll give it a chance :)

Definitely not getting the same "presence" from Hellboy though

The HellBoy comics were fairly violent, not massively gory but still some pretty brutal stuff. I hope they do that with this, giving the horror take. But I doubt it.

This feels like its a very low budget film considering who the Hero is, not quite "Asylum Pictures" level of cheap but still bottom of the barrel on production costs. I had a quick look and the 2004 original (adjusted for inflation) had a budget of $110m, Hellboy 2 in 2008 had $125m and Hellboy 3 in 2017 had $65m as the franchise slowed, whilst this new one had just $20-25m and, to me at least, it has that "filmed on a go-pro/iPhone" quality to it, even though it obviously wasn't.

Its a surprise to me just how far this franchise has fallen I suppose.

Did this even get a cinema release?

Not in the US it's not

That makes me sad. I read a review and thought ooof. Me and the Mrs have watched 1 and 2 countless times over the years. Managed twenty mins of one before this before turning it off.
