Helldivers 2

Definitely of interest - any online co-op game is of interest - but will hold out for reviewers I trust (Worth A Buy is rarely wrong, IMHO) after Helldivers1, which only managed 9h play before being abandoned back in 2015.

Helldivers 1 is brilliant and stands up to the test of time remarkably well. But it’s got a difficulty sweet spot and MUST be played with like-minded and similar skilled friends.

Deffo not a solo game.

Some good footage in here.

The kernel level DRM is a no no for me, it's not like they've even gone with a good one, this used to stop you even using a browser if you had the game running.

Shame as it looked to scratch the looter shooter itch.

Not a fan of these anti cheat things but I suppose tis a necessary evil? Wish they weren't so invasive

Christ when I’m playing a game, it’s the only thing I’m doing :p these things don’t bother me at all, and I’m happy to support a dev studio producing games built around FUN design.

It'll install NProtect but beyond that I can't comment. I wanted the game so I installed it. I only use my PC for games so I didn't really care what the deal was as long as I could squash some bugs.

Performance on PC for me has been absolutely fine. Other than 1 crash when I was sorting out loading into a cross play match, after that I had everything on Ultra/High with no issues.

Scoping this out now as one of my PS mates has it. Not pulled the trigger yet, hope there is upcoming content shared soon.

This game is a lot of fun! The friendly fire leads to serious lols, There are (computer) bugs atm but I'm not bothered, using a controller to play as well
