I think the game has potential, like a single player WOW.
THIS IS ANOTHER FINE EXAMPLE OF A SINGLECORE GAME (LAZY PROGRAMMERS)
THE GRAPHICS ARE LOW RESOLUTION & I'M GETTING 20FPS FFS
well i have no clue whats going on, singleplayer i wanted to play with quickly, and cheat, to test out different powers so i don't choose the wrong things in multiplayer, because as of yet theres no way to change what you choose and the power descriptions are appaling. but single play performance for no reason i can fathom, is massively worse than in multiplayer. all the same maps and as soon as it gets busy on screen in single player it gets massively slow for me, spawning a summoned elemental also slows it down(when theres a few enemies around) making me think its all cpu, task manager shows one cpu maxed out, though thats one of 4 its still at 3.6Ghz.
but multiplayer had no issues, haven't checked since single player but i'm guessing multiplayer may well be using multi cores, so theres some bug, or something going on with single player.
or maybe , hell, i really don't know why single player would be slower on same settings, its stupid as hell.
another thing would be this, graphically it is terrible. but theres a reason, randomly generated maps are buggy and hard as hell to do. as you start with the idea you put a lot of effort into this map generator. unfortunately they clearly didn't do a good job, couldn't make it very complex and ended up with a crap generator able to make only simple maps with crap graphics.
had they started off from the beginning without trying to build random maps, making just every level themselves, it could have taken the same time but yet looked massively better. there were massive comprimises to make a random map generator which has backfired horribly for them.
also the whole point was to make it massively replayable with a "different experience every time". the maps barely change, theres a small number of different maps and most are just mirror images, left turns instead of right. if you play 4 characters of any class from level 1 through 20 its IDENTICAL every time. in WOW or whatever, its a set map, instances and so on, but you can start in different parts of the world, ignore some quests, do different story arc's so it CAN be VERY different each time. here there is one story, thats it, no starting different places, had they done a normal damn map system, it would have looked better and then they could focus on replayability by adding different story arc's.
