You will find a lot of people here will make stupid, fleeting comments in threads they don't entirely understand. Perhaps it's because they're bored, or because they get a kick out of provoking people into a reaction.

So, your first lesson to learn here would be how to ignore such comments, and indeed, the posters of the aforementioned comments. You'll have a lot better time that way.

Get acquainted with the FAQ. There are some rules in there that are easy to fall foul of.

Lastly, enjoy your time here! I do for the most part, I spend way too much time reading this site.
