I want a amd rx580 8gb card and a 1300w egva psu but Christ they have no stock of anything
just a few ** please refrain from bad language ** 460 video cards and the same goes for the psu's and are they closing down?

Videos cards are being bought up in huge quantities for people doing bitcoin and other mining at the moment causing shortages.

Do you actually need a 1300 watt PSU? stock seems to be low of a lot of models over 1000 watt for some reason possibly due to low sales demand with lead times of around 1-2 months.

Bitcoins not mineable now asci miners 100 times faster are out there but maybe they ahve jumped ship to script coins

Go on any other pc store and it is the same story. As mentioned above they are out of stock everywhere ATM.

Also why do you need a 1300W psu ?

I don't think I've ran any over 750w.. and even that was only a recent purchase .. I had a 620 for about 8 years.

As everyone's said, RX580s are in demand because of the Ethereum mining situation. I imagine that's also the reason for stock of higher wattage PSUs being low too - people will be running 6 cards from one system.

However you don't need a 1000+ watt PSU if you're running a system with an RX580, or even two for that matter. I've got an EVGA G3 650w powering a 7700K and a 1080 Ti without any problems at all.
