After reading the ofroading thread yesterday i was 'forced' to take a friend up on an offer he made, "would i like to buy it back?"

HELL YES! :D

It's back, my toy is back, i was giggling like a 2 year old when he gave me the keys. It needs a bit of TLC (and a repaint), but it's back and it's mine!

That was the GF cleaning the SJ after a blast on some rough ground, today is our 2nd wedding aniversary, she's 'really impressed' with my toy ;)

Can not put into words how excited i am, this thing is mental offroad! (and yes, i am going to paint it yellow again!)
 
I remember the thread where you had to sell this beast :( Wasn't it due to your "better half" not getting on with the lack of PAS?
 
Goddamnit will people stop posting about 4x4's...

I already have my Anglia I need to work on, I wish people would stop tempting me with photos of 4x4's and off-roading :mad:

Winter is the best time to get hold of one, nobody likes getting cold and muddy and they get rid of them cheap. (not as cheap as the £175 i paid for this one though :p)

Yup, and i've since sourced the PS pump and steering box from a vitara (which fits the SJ block!), just need to get hold of the double pulley to run the pump. She doesn't want to drive it this time anyway, good ;)

Not to worry, the guy who painted it blue went over the sticker, so now there's just an oval in the paint.
 
Back from failing the MOT today, with a "bit of corrosion in places". Slight understatement, needs about 9 different patches sorting :eek:

Not a problem, i'm busy as hell right now, i'll call in a favour and get my welder mate to sort it in a few days (already booked the retest for wednesday!). Umm sorry, busy until next friday, is that ok? ARGH!

Looks like i'm in for a few late nights in the backyard freezing my backside off getting it done. Umm, where's my welder? Ahh, i lent it to a friend a couple of months back, not a problem, i'll give him a bell and get it back. Oh, strange ring tone on the mobile :confused:, he answers, yap, yap, yap.....

He's in sodding Spain!!!! :eek:

Need to beg, borrow or thieve a welder (don't think Machinemart do try before you buy ;)) for the weekend now.
