Hello to the world of 360!

i managed to pick myself one up yesterday :D £299 for a premium, PGR3 and an extra wireless controller. Still need to get mine sorted out and connected to live though.

I'm was  when i first loaded up pgr3 on the old HDTV.

Can you download demos for all games on live then? As i've got Saints row as well but think i should get a couple more and wouldn't mind trying them before i buy

Pretty much of all of them, yea.

Another superb thing would be the VGA lead. ;)

TFT + VGA lead + 360 =

And, as I've just been quoted stupid prices for car insurance that 2407 is looking closer. :p

Quick question - if you connect up a 360 to a VGA moniter which doesn't have speakers, can you still connect up the 360 to some external speakers?

whats the advantage over HD compared to a crt? I've heared even hd cant match a crt (in terms of 360 picture and such) ? :/

@ chriss, yeah. Theres an optical out in the back of the plug that stick in the 360, or the other end has red and white audio plugs which you can extend.

VGA is video only so there's always a seperate audio connection somewhere.

anyone help with connecting it to my pc, i cant make it work :(

what software do i need on my pc? As the stuff i downloaded doesnt install/work? :/

if i remember rightly you need to download Windows Media connect. There should be a web link that your 360 will tell you if your trying to connect to a networked computer. Its just a little program that will share certain folders to your xbox. Starts when you boot up and doesn't exactly take much time or anything like that

i downloaded it, installed the download file
which said it installed a setup installer. I click the icon its made in start menu and nothing happens. The folder it created has some dll's and xml files, and pictures. :/

Are you running up to date SP2 fine?

Try uninstalling and re-installing Media Connect. Did you install the one for Media Centre Editon or just the basic Media Connect one?

up to date yes.

Selected xp sp2 not the media connect varients.
It didnt actually install anything, just stuck some stuff in a folder. I'll del that and try again.

Looks like my pc installed framework 2 and hasnt bothered with .net 1.1 O.o?

Anyway, downloading that windows update then ill try again

working. Cheers guys :)
