Help 3090

Hey guys,

I finally have my 3090, its a MSI Trio, now im not all that clued up with computers, knowing very little. Ive been having some lacklustre performance especially in VR. I noticed my gpu jumping from 5% usage to about 50% with just a mouse movement and although ive not sort of fixed this I just tested Jedi Fallen Order.............. my results at 1440 and everything set to epic was about 130fps. In task manager my cpu was at 40% and my gpu 75%. Should I not be using all my gpu? Is there a bottleneck? Seeing as id set frame rate to 144 and could not reach it but was only using 75% of the gpu is that what its saying?

Anyone who can help me with this id trully appreciate

What cpu do you have?
Try running timespy benchmark so you can compare similar systems to yours.

List out your system specs, no one can tell you if there’s a bottleneck as we don’t know your hardware.

Not fully utilising GPU usage is common though.

Asus Maximus Hero xi
Intel i9 9900k
3 x ssds, (2 840 evos 256gb, and 1 1tb qvo)
1x nvme 512gb 960
16gb 3200mhz vengeance
Soundblaster zx

Get a monitoring tool like AfterBurner to log the usage. Use more than one game and get back with the usage stats.
