Help a memory noob choose Conroe RAM

Hey guys, as title would suggest, I'm not very clued up, when it comes to memory at all.
All I know is, that I need DDR2 memory, I want 2GB of ram ... I have a E6300 and a new Shuttle SD37P2 on it's way.

I didn't budget on a new PC, my old one went *poof* and I'm forced to go Conroe (.... not the worst thing that could happen I suppose )

As such, I'm trying to cut down cost where I can, and since I wont be overclocking at all really, I thought memory is deffo a place where I can save some wonga.

I was originally gonna buy some Geil Value DDR2 PC5300 667MHz kit here off OcUK, but the price will bun some holes in my wallet
Would it be such a great injustice to buy 2GB (2x1GB Sticks) of Samsung PC4200 ? (more details HERE )

Will that slow down the system at all, running purely at stock. If so, will it really be that much slower?
Is £80 a decent price for it?

Ok before I start I admit I don't know a huge amount about Ram but it appears from Intel's tech specs that all the Conroes run on an FSB of 1066 so that basically means that Ram running at 533mhz would be ok as far as I can tell so PC4200 ought to be absolutely fine. I'd still wait for someone who really knows to confirm this to be the case though.

It would limit potential overclocks but as you say it doesn't matter to you it shouldn't be an issue. £80 seems to be a pretty decent price given the overall price of Ram new these days.

The shuttle mobo can support:

Memory support
4 x 240 pin slots, supports Dual Channel
supports DDR2-533/667 DDR SDRAM memory
max. 2 GB per DIMM, up to a total size of 8 GB

So that means it supports it and there wont be a noticible diffs running stock?
