Help a noob attach a cpu cooler/heatsink

That's quite a large heatsink to be rattling around loose inside your pc. I would be worried what else it has damaged.

I would return the pc so it can be tested and fixed.
 
Sorry I ranted at you.

I'm frustrated by posts telling you what to do and how to put it back together with no idea what they were talking about.

We have some very knowledgeable members here who freely give of their knowledge and skills.

Listen to them but beware those who know not.

ok well im probably just going to send it back but out of interest can someone explain what one would do to fix it themselves, just so i know... like i said i probably wont bother to do it but im intrigued nonetheless.
 
I wouldn't even think of trying to tell anyone how to fix something like this without having the pieces in hand to examine.
 
I know you are bummed. You planned, ordered, waited with plans of using it this weekend and now it's not happening.

Don't try and salavage your evening and weekend by trying to fix it. It need to go back to OcUK for repair and testing.

Go do something else you enjoy to get your mind off of this. Life is too short to let it get you down.. well at least not down for long.

Did the package show any damaage when you received it?
