Never actually had the honor of buying a brand new graphics card before. Always gone for 2nd hand etc etc. However, I've just taken a large quantity of valiums and therefore going to order a 580.

I'm just wondering if it comes with a HDMI cable or if you need to buy one seperately

Buy one sperate, unless Nvidia have got very generous, but i cant see that..

Depending on brand it should come with a cable or a mini HDMI to standard HDMI adapter.

Can you expand on this? I've never experienced anything beyond just a regular average joe dvi cable from years ago.

The HDMI connector on the 580 is a mini one so they provide a mini HDMI to regular HDMI adpater, you plug your HDMI cable in to the adapter. My EVGA 480 came with a cable though, I think it may just be adapters with the 580's, so you will still need an HDMI cable.

Yeah, from an unboxing video on youtube, looks like MSI actually supply a good length HDMI cable.

...PS dont be fooled into buying a needlessly expensive one...worth shopping around! Your not likely to see any difference in quality of the image.
