going to be building my first pc in a week or two, and i am trying to some research done on all the components so i have a basic level of understanding, now i will be building a z97 build.

i have been looking for some pictures of z97 baords because i'm not too sure what all the connections do and what plugs in where and what everything is for.

so i'm basically asking for your guys help - any pictures of z97 boards and their connections highlighted / explained or if z79 are the same layout etc, anything that will help.

or if you guys could explain the connections and etc.

Plenty of space on a table and follow the mother board installation guide that it comes with, what case are you putting this into ?

Very nice case ... Make sure you take your time and route your cabling into the void and it will be a nice tidy build

A lot of the conections are easy to work out as they are specific for each bit of kit but if you get stuck then post photos and questions as there is always help on hand here

The only thing I would add to your build and the cost is low would be some exhaust fans for the top of your case to help with air flow ( its not a must have I have just always done it )

any recommendations on the fans mate, and would these go (case - fans then rad or case rad then fans on bottom of the rad?

if that makes sense.
