hey guys im planning on wc'ing my setup. here are the specs

Intel Core i7 975 Extreme Proc.
Corsair Dominator GT 2000 Mhz Ram
Asus Rampage Extreme II Mobo.
Gainward 4870X2.
Cooler Master Cosmos S casing

Well these are the specs relevant to watercooling. anyways i was planning on cooling both cpu and gpu...but since i dont have enough knowledge..i thought id get some expert advice on here before i start ordering.

First of all would i need 2 seperate rads if im planning on cooling both? i was planning on ordering the XSPC RX360 Extreme Performance Radiator. I also read somewhere i think on this forum that this rad really doesnt fit on the inside of Cosmos S roof. if this is the case...which rad would you recommend.

Secondly i was planning on running a seperate loop for the gpu. i wanted different coloured liquid for the cpu and gpu. would this require me to have a seperate pump as well? or i can hook both loops on one pump? (if it is obvious that i would need another pump or just one, please refrain from the insults as i really am a noob when it comes to wc).

And lastly....what dimension fittings would you recommend? 3/8" or 1/2". I was planning on ordering bitspower compression fittings but im a bit confused about the sizes.

Thank you in advance for the help you guys would provide and once again im sorry if i mentioned something that was obvious.

RX360 should easy fit in your Cosmos S ;)
If you want to use 2 colours you need two pumps and rads as well.
Fittings - go for 3/8 ID 3/4 OD looks nice and it is enough.
if you planning to run 2 loops you should put a water block on your mobo as well.

If you want different colour liquid you will definitley need a different loop, the water is the same all the way through a loop, think about it ;) The term loop means just that, an entire setup, ie pump, radiator, res or fillport and however many blocks you put into that loop. You could have more than one block in a loop as long as the rad and pump are good enough, but lots of people will run 2 loops so they arent putting too much heat into the water in a single loop.

You could just use different colour tubes, they are available in all different colours and UV reactive etc.

thanks bigdog that really cleared a lot of things out for me...but now im considering NOT going for 2 loops because placing the second rad outside the casing would be too much of a hassle for me, so now im considering just one loop

Use 1 lopp and just use 2 different UV colour tubes, add a few kink coils and away ya go:) I am cooling my I7 Do along with my GTX 260 on same loop Temps are fine

ok guys this is the order that im gonna be placing....let me know if something is out of place please. thanks

thanks admiral...that really helped me in regards to fitting all my components in....please have a look at the cart that i pasted in the above post and let me know if everything seems ok. im a bit concerned about the size of tubing over the connectors after looking at your log.

45 degree fitting if you must - 90 degree ones are over kill in a large case.
feser aqua (just pure water) don't use coloured coolant - you have coloured tube.
But so de-ionised for a car shop or chemist is fine (you'll need some nuke or a friend that keeps fish to borrow two drips of his)
and save some money and get the ddc pro (the 10w version)
