I work in a team of 30 auditors, the client have provided us with an ADSL line however we have to provide the wireless router, I need to purchase a router that can handle upto 30 people connecting to it - can anyone make a suggestion? I was thinking of around £150 however budget is negotiable!

What do you mean by "30 people connecting to it"? From LAN or WAN? VPN end-point required?

I'd probably get a used Cisco 877W.

What's the budget? set up a couple of pings to a reliable public address like 8.8.8.8, one from a wireless client, one from a wired client, this will give you more of an idea whether it's the adsl bandwidth causing issues, or the wireless spectrum being clogged. 30 people on a single wireless AP isn't advised, pick up another couple of access points and put them on non-overlapping channels (1,6,11) use different SSID's for each or spread them around the building.

I dont think the bandwidth requirement is the issue, its just that we keep getting dropped off the router because (I suspect) it cant handle so many people connecting
