Hi guys

I want to create a photo of my 2 cats. To get them sat together is going to be impossible. So what do i need to do to "create" the image.

I have Photoshop CS3 but have very little knowledge of this.

Your advice and help would be appreciated

Thanks

My method would probably be choose somewhere they are both happy to sit. Put your camera on a tripod and do your best to make sure the lighting can be kept constant. Put the camera into manual and set the apperture and exposure.

Take picture of cat no 1. Then place cat 2 next to where cat 1 was sitting and simply merge the layers in CS??

Failing that then maybe put food they both like in the same place and hope they dont kill eachother in the scuffle while you snap away :p

Agreed it will have to be a tripod job, with the same background, as cat fur is impossible to cut out and paste over another, so merging 2 identical scenes with different cats is the way to go.

Thanks guys :)

I assume it would be wise to set up a neutral background and set (perhaps off white?) Perhaps set up some lighting also?

You could but so long as you get the shots within a reasonable amount of time together then it probably wont notice too much as you will notice less tonal differences than say if it was human skin.
