I'm looking for some help and advice as I am new to watercooling. I have a tight budget but I'm looking to put together something to cool my HD5970 and maybe a HD5870 too. No other components will be in the loop. Would the following provide sufficient cooling:

XSPC Full Cover Razor HD 5970 Waterblock
XSPC Full Cover Razor HD 5870 Waterblock (Depends on funds and set up effectiveness)
Magicool Slim Dual 240 Radiator (Selected as it is one of the few that fit my case)
Magicool Pump station 700

Cost is the biggest factor. In fact the only reason I'm look at watercooling is because I’ve just added an HD5870 to my system which now causes my HD5970's fan to run at unbearably high noise leaves (so much so that I’ve temporarily removed the HD5870). Watercooling the HD5870 is a nice to have optional but the HD5970 is the priority.

Just a note on the radiators: my case can only fit a hand full of radiators, namely:
1. Black ICE GT Stealth 240
2. RAD Alphacool NexXxoS Pro II - Rev.
3. Magicool 240 D Radiator
4. Magicool 240 mm UV Radiator
5. ThermalTake TMG2

Also what tube diameter should I use?

Thanks

You would probably need at least a 360 for good temps for both cards to be on that loop. The 5970 dumps a lot of heat in loops afaik and you can only fit a 240mm radiator in there. The 5970 will be fine on a 240, and you would be pushing if you run both off that 240, the temps wouldn't be great however you would have the added benefit of reduced noise. If you could fit a XSPC RX240 rad in there that would help because it's thickness allows for greater heat dissipation. The pump will be fine, and as for tube diameter, it's up to you. There are marginal differences (between 0-1 degrees) when using different tube sizings.
