Have got new mobo running but can only get Gcard working in pci-e 4 slot only. For single card its meant to be in slot 1. Don't get any display to monitor in other slots but it does spin up.
Pulling my hair out now.

Possibly a borked board if the GPU wont work in slot 1. RMA might be in order?

Do you have another GC to test in the slots out of interest

So yours worked in slot 1 straight out the box?

Well the 8800gtx is working fine in both PC's. Can't pull my 4870x2 out my other PC as its water cooled.

This would be the first time I have ever had a borked mobo straight out the box
 
Ok have managed to get slot 3 working. How I don'tknow just tried it in there again and it works. As for slot 1 no such (sweary) luck.
Will see if any other slots work.

Yes have tried all slots but (not pci-e 5 as it wont fit in with the GP diagnostic card in situ) Gcard only works in slots 3 and 4. Looks like its RMA time for me
