Help, basic blog site decision thread.

Evening all, was in the process of designing a small site last night on Blogger, then it dawned on me that there is also blog sites like Tumblr & Wordpress.

Does anyone have any preferences or advice? No real point in having 3 of the same blog is there?

Tumblr looks slick but seemed busy last night, the server bandwidth was causing problems. I downloaded the Wordpress program but havn't got round to sorting it out yet.

use wordpress, you will need to pay for your own hosting and domain name but it's worth it and is relatively cheap

What's the ballpark figure these days to register a domain for wordpress?

The domain should cost you at most £5 and you can host a site with TSOHost for £15 a year. You can spend more on the hosting if you need more features, but for starting out it should be fine.
