HELP bios flash on gigabyte z87x-oc failed

I tried to flash my motherboard in windows and got a reported fail. I then tried to reinstall my old BIOS same error. Now when I boot I some times see the splash screen or I dont . but I can't get into the BIOS or qflash. I have reset the CMOS no change :'(
 
switch to backup bios and boot into bios

then switch the bios switch back to main and flash the bios using QFLASH and the bios file extracted to a usb stick

don't use @BIOS to flash with its unreliable,do all flashing from within the bios itself
 
Sorry just to check I have changed to backup bios but now I need to enter the bios and then flick the switch whilst its still on and flash using qflash. That way it will flash the main bios even though I used the backup one to boot ?
 
Well that went easily now I have flashed using qflash. I dont know what made me do it, I normally would never flash anything I can avoid in Windows :).

how do you pick which bios Gigabyte mobos boot from?

I've had about 8 GB boards, but never figured out how?!

Always thought they should add a Main/Backup switch to the back of the motherboard plate.

Never actually had one fail, but I don't like the lack of control I had.
