I've noticed that my computer does not keep time nor does the time tick or update once i'm in the bios. I have no idea why this has started happening, could it be the cmos battery? My Mobo is a maximus vi hero and is about 4 months old. I've seen videos with people who have the same motherboard who's time updates on the clock while in the bios but mine just stands still. Furthermore it likes to freeze the time every so often while i'm using windows 7, it's not starting to annoy me since I have to click update from the internet every time I want to tell the time. since it works for about 10 minutes.
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was on the latest bios but reverted to the first one which is where I didn't have an issues would you recommend going back to the latest bios version since reverting did not help?

yh latest is usually the best, once flashed load optimised defaults in the bios and re enter your bios/oc settings

Okay updating my bios did nothing. But clearing my cmos made the clock tick in the bios, so I think it is working now. My bets are that it was something to do on christmas Eve when I had a power cut.
