Help - broke off tiny component(?) on GTX 460 underside

I'd go with a capacitor too. Resistors tend to be black. It's 100% not an IC or a transistor.

Should be ok to solder it back on. I've worked with 0603 SMD LEDs and yes they can be fiddly but if I can do it with my unsteady hand then someone with a bit of soldering experience shouldn't have too much difficulty. If the top pad has been pulled Off you should be able to scrape away at the track to the right and be able to run a bit of solder to the SMD from there.

When soldering SMD I always add solder first to the pad quickly, then sit the SMD on top. I then apply heat to one side at a time and push down. I follow up with a further touch to the sides afterwards.

I'm too far away to be of any help.

It's a capacitor.

What I'd do is to solder a short piece of link wire (maybe something like the cut leg of a through hole resistor) to the round pad to the right of the broken track, so that it goes to where the top of the capacitor originally was (or slightly past).

I'd then solder the capacitor to the unbroken track side, and then I'd solder the top side of the capacitor to the link wire :)
