Help buying a blender/Juicer

Interesting.
So do you just put raw veg in and 6 minutes later it is done?

I only tried it once for soup so far, but for that I just threw a bunch of mushrooms, some garlic and some pepper and milk in and blitzed it. Tasted alright I suppose. I think the best way is to probably fry the onions up a bit first to have a nicer soup.

Still, came out hot and alright enough to eat :)

I need to put more research into the whole blender cooking thing but initial impressions are that its a good asset to have in the kitchen, its made easy work of everything Ive thrown in it, and the 7 year warranty was good piece of mind.

Im gonna try scrambled egg in it next I think.

Do things like nutri ninja, incorporate a lot less air than a normal blender?
As that what pees me off with my nor al blender, put like 600ml if water in and by the time it comes out it's like 1.5liters if froth.

I've never put any water in the Nutri Ninja and I've never seen froth.

I have a nutribullet knock off, which seems exactly the same as a real one rebranded (I compared it to a real one side by side in the kitchen) and I don't get any froth.

I add water and ice to all my smoothies as otherwise it's just a thick sludge, depending on what I put it.

I really like it, I've consumed so much more fruit and veg since getting one.

Thinking about getting a blender to compliment my juicer. I am not juicing as much these days and ending up buying fruit smoothies when I'm out. Plus I will use it to make pancake batter (worked great with my old housemate's Nutribullet).

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00Q36TOV6 Anyone seen this Nutri Ninja BL450 cheaper than £69?

Edit: scrap the above. Just realised my current housemate's blender can crush ice so will work with frozen fruit.

ANyone used Tesco frozen fruit? e.g http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=279054497

Just ordered a Slater Nutri Pro on offer on Ocado. £20 cheaper than amazon.
I hope it's good 1000w so should be powerful', just hope it doesn't whip in all the air like my current food processor attachment.

Well really liking it, used it to blend curry sauces and smoothies, the lids are great, plenty of power and it doesn't whip air in.
Only negative, is I dint like the lugs in the bottle which turn the blender on, the drinking lids dint cover them, so they're just a little annoying. Not sharp or anything.

I just bought a Nutri Ninja on a whim tonight at Sainsbury's (£60, cheapest I've seen). Made my first smoothie with Carrots, apple and cucumber with a dash of orange juice.

Not bad. Easy to clean, takes up less worktop space than my juicer too
