ok, my mums pc was running slower than a snail on tranquilizers. i formatted the c drive (was a pre-built system and the mobo fooked up. so as i was saying. i formatted the main drive and left the secondary hard drive in tact as it had all her documents on there.
the problem i have no after installing xp pro and xp home (even the restore disc), is that she can no longer access certain folders. these are her my music folder, my pictures folder, my downloads folder and a couple of others. every time you try to access them, it says
"DMy Documents\My Music is not accessable.
Access Denied"
Does any one have any idea why this is and what can be done to correct the problem.
I have tried it in my own pc with the same results. any ideas.
