Help! Cannot enter my nexus4 pin

I have a problem where the centre of my phones touchscreen is un-responsive due to a drop.

I accidentally set a pin code on my Nexus4 running Android 4.3 and unfornately when i try to enter the pin, one of the number of the pin is in the unresponsive part of the screen.

I had thought that entering the pin enough time would prompt for my gmail or something but so far i've tried 85 times and still nothing. All it says is wait 30 seconds and try again.

Other than the last resort of a factory reset as i really dont want to loose everything on there is there anything else i can do?

After a number of failed attempts, I thought you got the 'forgot password' option?

Could maybe use a micro usb keyboard?

yeah i thought that but the count is now 100 times and still nothing.

MHL adapter and mouse if you don't have a micro usb kb.

Going to have to just accept it and loose the photos and videos i have on there and wipe it all i think.

This, except use a USB OTG cable. MHL is for HDMI
