Hi there. I hope somone can help me. On my pc (asus a8n-sli motherboard) i have always had two sata drives running. Over time pc became slugish and slow so i saved every thing on to my second backup sata and did a fresh win xp sp2 install on my primary drive. The problem is now i can see both dirves in bios, at boot, in device manager, and in disk maitainace, but not in my computer or explorer. In disk maintanace it says the drive is healthy and active but it has not assigned a drive letter and the only option it gives me it to delete the partion. Please help cos i dont know what to try next. If i lose all the family photos on the backup drive wife will kill me.
Thanks

on my main disk i have various options. but on the seconary disk the only option is delete partition everything else is grayed out.

ok sorted it. Drive seamed to be corrupt when i did chkdsk. then dir and i saw a norton goback directory. reinstalled goback on primary drive and it has sorted the problem. phew.
