Right

I have the following sitting all put together in front of me.

Conroe E6600
Asus P5W DH
2 x 1GB Geil PC6400 DDR2 The stuff that was on offer.
A 750W PSU.
Artic Cooler Freezer pro 7...


Temps at normal are:

36c for CPU
54 for MB, which seems to me wrong?



What tips can people give me in noddy terms to get it working faster :)

I mean when booting up the memory is id's as pc 5300 but its a long while since ive fiddled with Bios settings.

Any help reall appreciated.

edited t aff got a 7950GX2 video card in it as well

To get the most out of your system you probably want to overclock it. I believe there are a few guides knocking about this forum so do a search.

Your mobo temperature does seem quite hot but I don't know what normal temps are for new conroe boards!

Definitely wrong! :confused: Never heard of ambient case temp being higher than the CPU temp! Unless by mb you mean the northbridge's temp (which still seems high though)? What are you reading the temps through?
