Hi guys!

Ive never made a pc before, so i dont have any favorite brands or anything like lian li or antec , so ive picked out 3 unbiased choice cases that ive heard are good and would like you to give me some advice on which one to buy :)

I would like it to last me for more or less forever - as i am pretty tight ( and 17 :p ) and if i can help it i wouldnt really want to buy a new case for about 5 years. So it needs to be of good quality really.

I want a case to do some overclocking (again, never tried this before, and cant do it on me current pc because me mobo aint letting me - so i would need a case with some good cooling and air flow wouldnt I?) , and in the future (when they come way, waaaaaaaay down in price!) might be whacking in some huge 8800gtx size gfx cards - so it would again need to be roomy :)

Also, if it didnt make a lot of noise with the fans and stuff cranked up - that would be a major plus. My current pc sounds like a harrier jet atm , does my heading lol

The 3 i have rounded it down to are...

1) Antec P180 Advanced Super Midi Tower Case - No PSU (Black)
£69.99
£82.24 inc VAT

Looks nice and heard it has a lot of space.

2) Akasa Eclipse 62 Aluminium Case - No PSU
£79.99
£93.99 inc VAT

Supposed to have a lot of space, good for gamers, good for ocing.

3) Akasa Mirage 62 Aluminium Case - No PSU
£84.99
£99.86 inc VAT

It seems to me its an "upgrade" of the eclipse. Looks better and has good reviews.

So there they are, if you can think of a better case for me then im open to suggestions guys! You lot know more then me, and i dont want to buy rubbish :p

Thanks in advance guys!

Ben

I'd get this if i were buying a case now all 3 cases you mention are great, though get the eclipse if you want ease of use lots of room for future upgrades without worrying about what will fit or not.The only difference between the eclipse and mirage is the front but i hear the mirage is a pain when it comes to cleaning the front intake filter. It's what you put in a pc that makes it quiet the case helps but mostly it's the fans.Basically if you want the best case get an akasa eclipse 62 if you want the best looking case that's another debate.I would trade my eclipse for that lian li PC-A16B though that's not to say i am not happy with my eclipse i just like that case. The akasa eclipse is a case that will last a long long time as it's so wide and deep just swallows everything.
GET THE MIRAGE ! if you like it's looks as that is what puts most people off they like brushed aluminum fronts you will not be disappointed these cases are huge inside pair it with a tuniq tower cooler as the pci fan control will fit in the front pci slot almost like it's been made for it.

Ok brilliant thanks for that!

How does the eclipse compare to the mirage? Id prefer the mirage over the eclipse personally as i think it looks better.

Thanks again

Ben

Because i just like it's look and functions if you like the mirage's look i'd get that then it is a superb case some people say the akasa cases are overhyped but those people usually have never owned one, it looks a lot better in the flesh.Defo get mirage or eclipse if you want to last long time.

I have an eclipse 62 and id recommend it to anybody, only thing is its B-I-G. great for everything but moving it, so if you dont need to move it id take the plunge and buy an eclipse

I think ive decided to go for one of either the akasa cases.

If anyone who has the mirage would let me know more about it, that would be great.

Thanks to Pea0n and C64!
