Thanks overclockers for not making my life easy!:(

I have finally decided to get a PII 720 & have decided that my little AC 64 won’t be up to the job.
So am in the market for a new CPU. Having spent the past 3 hours going around in circles trying to decided what to get Ill open it up.

The main problem I have been having is that the majority of the review sites have one or the other but never them all.

So far I’ve been looking at :

Prolimatech Megahalems Performance CPU
(going to have to spend a further £8 on a Retention Kit For AM2)

Xigmatek Thor's Hammer S126384
(ruled this out as it relays on a retention bracket & they don’t make a bolt through kit)

Scythe Mugen 2
(seems good back for buck with a decent fan)

Titan TTC-NK85TZ Fenrir CPU Cooler
(very mixed reviews & typical my luck is out of stock)

ThermoLab Baram
(Also mixed reviews)

Now before half of you faint I have had a True for about 2 days but didn’t come with an am2 bolt through kit, which really put me of them.

Also I do like a cooler to be compatible with a wide range of sockets for free as the majority of above are. Also as this will be used on am2 system I will only use a bolt through kit on it & not a retention bracket.

So opinions please

Ps as a poor student & just after a stable everyday clock I don’t wont to pay £20/£30 more for the sake of 3/4c

Thanks in advance

i personally have the scythe mugen and it keeps my e7300 @ 4ghz at a nice 33c idle and 45c when in games, if your wanting a good bang for buck cooler id go for the mugen

No competitor links had the fenrir and then got this, so much cooler i couldnt belive it mate. Sorry for posting another site, its just this isnt yet on the ocuk site.

Remove the link asap compeditors arent allowed for any reason.

And the Arctic Cooling Freezer XTREME i think its rather low quality
